We have watched the three discs over the last three nights... more or less experiencing the occasion as the men who were there would have... and we have been so moved by the experience. Many times I thought... Wow! What a breath-taking experience for those guys. By the way... if you connect your DVD Player to your HiFi or Surround System, you will get the feel of it much better than watching a U Tube clip.

Thelma and I have enjoyed Angus' books and DVD's over the past year or so... using one as a daily devotional and after finishing it, we gave it to my mum and dad to read.

We are fortunate to love each other in the same way that Angus and Jill do and together, we love the Lord having allowed Him to take possesion of our hearts for just ten years now. Although I am into my sixties... and perhaps because of it... I am keen to build on the inspiration that Angus has kindled and to take it to new heights.

We live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and would welcome contact from like-minded men and women who might share an interest in starting a Mighty Mens Movement here.

Thankyou Tony and Catherine for your well-presented coverage of the event and thankyou Angus for being the first person in my sixty two years whom I have been inspired to publicly call 'My Hero'! That is such a maligned word these days... over-used to the point where I believe it has been watered down to the extent that doing the most natural things makes one a Hero!

Angus is my Hero. The Lord is my Saviour and I offer my life to Him.

And all the men at Greytown and in living rooms around the world said...
AMEN! AMEN! and we all gave God a round of applause!!

I'd love to hear from you...

Chris Mathers

chrism@chrismathers.com.auChris Mathershttp://chrism@chrismathers.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533282854295587839.post-52718039836597606722010-05-28T14:34:18.269+01:002010-05-28T14:34:18.269+01:00I was there with Tony. Now, more than a month later, I can still not stop talking about it. The experience has brought me closer to our Heavenly Father.

I Confessed my sins. I forgave all those who had sinned against me and an enormous sense of relief and peace came upon me. Then I knew I had to be baptised. It was like a voice telling me over and over again that I had to be baptised. This was most surprising, as I was one of those people who thought that Baptism was just an old fashioned biblical ritual. Well I listened to that voice and on 16 on Sunday 16 May, in front of our church congregation I was baptised. Praise the Lord!

There was quite a lot of negative publicity in both the printed and electronic media about this event. I can not see why this should be. I am however sure that the word of mouth of those who have benefited from this will by far exceed this negative publicity.pieterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02278340487333949537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533282854295587839.post-45492680557903290192010-03-11T18:42:00.024+02:002010-03-11T18:42:00.024+02:00Go Catherine and Tony!

I am a volunteer Area Coordinator for the project here in the US in Northwestern PA so I fully understand what it's like to load all those cartons. Last September we had a huge packing party at our church and packed 5,577 boxes in one day and then loaded them into the truck. The next day we moved 4,600 individual shoeboxes from a basement upstairs to put them into the cartons and then loaded another truck. How neat to think that each of those boxes is a 'gospel opportunity' to help bring God's love to someone. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sacrificing to do that.Kathy Schrieferhttp://www.occnwpa.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533282854295587839.post-87408332438269117342010-02-05T00:57:40.288+02:002010-02-05T00:57:40.288+02:00Dear Catherine, I have been following your blog fo...Dear Catherine, I have been following your blog for awhile. I so enjoyed getting to know you when you led music for RBBC (now Life Bridge...or something). How awesome that you are being used by the Lord in Namibia. Of course my eyes perked up when I say you are starting MITI there. I have passed your info along to our International department in hopes that they can be of support to you there. Many blessings to you! Oh, and by the way, I may have told you but one of my sons - the one just older than the one you met who did the chairs at church - is now in language training with his wife and 4 small children in Costa Rica. They are planning to do mission work among an indigenous people group in the jungles of South America. -- Kathy GayheartKathy Gayhearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08566016068445005882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6533282854295587839.post-76884858621946810782009-12-08T08:44:31.852+02:002009-12-08T08:44:31.852+02:00It was such a blessing to have you guys come and s...It was such a blessing to have you guys come and speak!
